How to recharge
You need your subscriber ID (customer ID / VC number) or your registered mobile number:
- The operator's own app or website.
- Any UPI or banking app → DTH → choose operator → enter ID (through Bharat Connect).
- A missed call or SMS service of your operator, to check balance and due date.
What your bill is made of
Under TRAI's tariff rules for TV, your monthly cost is:
The NCF covers carrying the channels; the TRAI rules cap it and include a fixed number of channels in the base fee. Free-to-air channels cost nothing beyond the NCF.
Paying less
- Review your packs: open the operator's app and remove channels you haven't watched in months. Broadcaster bouquets often include many you don't need.
- Pick à la carte for the few paid channels you watch, if that's cheaper than a bouquet.
- Pay for longer: many operators give extra days or a discount on 3-, 6- and 12-month recharges.
- Second TV? Multi-TV connections usually get a lower NCF.
- DD Free Dish: Prasar Bharati's free DTH service carries public and many private channels with no monthly fee — enough for some households.
If the screen shows "no signal"
Check the dish alignment after storms, the cable connection and that your balance hasn't run out. Most operators let you raise a service request in the app.
Pay safely
- Pay through the biller's own app or website, your bank, or a UPI app — look for the Bharat Connect mark.
- Never pay through a link in an SMS or WhatsApp message, and never call a number from a message threatening disconnection. Billers don't ask you to install screen-sharing apps.
- Keep the transaction reference ID; it is what you quote in a complaint.
- You never need your UPI PIN to receive money; anyone who asks for it is a fraudster.
Oxon Fintech does not sell recharges or collect bill payments. Plan prices and benefits are the operators' own, as listed on the date above; they change often and can differ by telecom circle, so confirm in the operator's app before paying.
