A quick estimate — your actual offer depends on the lenders matched to your profile.
How to use the EMI calculator
Choose Personal Loan or Business Loan, then set the loan amount, the yearly interest rate and the tenure in months. The calculator instantly shows your monthly EMI, the total interest and the total amount you would repay. Change the tenure to see how a shorter loan saves interest and a longer one lowers the EMI.
The formula
P is the loan amount, r the monthly interest rate and n the number of months. For example, ₹5,00,000 at an illustrative 12% a year for 36 months comes to an EMI of about ₹16,607, with total interest of about ₹97,858. See the worked example and amortisation table in how EMI is calculated.
Before you borrow
- Keep your total EMIs comfortably within your monthly income.
- Compare offers on the APR in the lender's Key Fact Statement, not on the headline rate alone.
- Check whether a rate is flat or reducing.
EMI tables by amount and tenure

An EMI, or equated monthly instalment, is the fixed amount you pay your lender every month. Each EMI covers the interest due for the month and repays part of the principal.
With the reducing-balance formula EMI = P × r × (1 + r)^n ÷ [(1 + r)^n − 1], where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly rate (yearly rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n is the tenure in months.
No. A longer tenure lowers the monthly EMI but increases the total interest you pay over the life of the loan.
It is an estimate for the amount, rate and tenure you enter. The lender's offer and Key Fact Statement show the final amount, rate, tenure and fees.
