Editorial policy
How we write, check and update the guides on this site.
Why we write guides
Borrowing decisions affect your money for years. Our guides, calculators and glossary exist to help you understand loans, credit scores and your rights before you borrow — whether or not you apply through us.
Who writes them
Guides are written and reviewed by the Oxon Fintech Editorial Team — people at Oxon who work with loan applications, lenders and customers every day.
How we keep them accurate
- Primary sources first. Rules and figures come from the Reserve Bank of India, government scheme websites and official notifications, and we state the date a rule took effect.
- No lender rates or promises. We don't quote any lender's interest rates, limits or approval chances. Examples are labelled illustrative, and the numbers in them are checked.
- Plain language. We explain terms the first time we use them and link to the glossary.
- Dated updates. Every guide shows when it was last updated, and we review guides when rules change.
Independence
We don't accept payment to publish or rank content. Guides mention Oxon Fintech's own service only where it's relevant, and always say that Oxon is a loan facilitation platform, not a lender.
Not advice
Our content is general information, not financial, tax or legal advice. For decisions about your situation, talk to a qualified professional and read the lender's Key Fact Statement and agreement.
